DIRECTIONS
set up in a circle like on a D-PAD; this one is modeled after the sega master system controller

U - up
UF - up forward
F - forward
DF - down forward
D - down
DB - down back
B - back
UB - up back
it's basic directions. towards target, away from target - if you want to sidestep you can use L, R
is a dash [likewise two backs is a backwards dash]
is a spin
, or any set of directions that follow each other is a sweep
you can use the letters or the arrows to represent direction on your moves list. if you want to use the arrows you can direct link to them or you can save them & make them your favorite color/upload them if you like. when you are picking directions try to think of motions you want your character to take ex:
p hk - would be a dash punch, followed by a jump kick
lk - would be a rolling low kick otherwise known as a trip
k hk - would be a middle kick to a roundhouse [a spinning kick]
p - would be a dashing spinning knuckle
lk - would be a sliding trip
directions are abbreviations for movement. if you can think of a description for an attack, it's probably even easier to just think of it in directions

BUTTONS |
these are basic actions or what would be assigned to a set of buttons on a controler. they mean where the attack is focused, high, middle or low, & also signify their attack power since high is aimed at the head, middle at the torso & low at the legs
p - middle punch [or attack with weapon]
hp - high punch [or attack with weapon]
lp - low punch [or attack with weapon]
k - middle kick
hk - high kick
lk - low kick
g - grab

these words are generic fighting move terms that you can use to name your attacks. usually something like "noun [insert fighting word]" works, like "petal strike", "solar spiral" etc

COMBOS
|
Combos: name of combo + name of moves in order. you can have up to 3
to make a combo you have to have already created some moves. let's say we've got these 4 moves:
ground strike - hp
flip kick - k
spinning knuckle - p p p
aerial drill - lk
a combo is moves used in succession with each leading into the next one. combos can be made of up to four different moves, & they can be repeating moves. ex:
moon crusher - ground strike, flip kick, aerial drill
sweet! that's an uppercut to a backflip kick to an aerial spinning descent kick. pretty impossible IRL but it's a game & that's how we play :3 now let's make another one:
twin crescent - ground strike, spinning knuckle, flip kick
upper cut to spinning triple punch to backflip kick. destructive! you get the picture. you don't need to have any combos if you don't want - in that case remove the "combo" category from your bio
